The brand has unveiled the new items for the AW17-18 season at the ORIGINAL BUFF® International Meeting
November 14, 2016.- Once again, Barcelona was the city chosen to hold the BUFF® International Meeting, which was held November 10 and 11, and where the main new items for the AW17-18 season were unveiled. For this occasion, the brand invited more than 120 distributors and representatives from all over the world, who came from 29 different countries.
A new season brimming with changes
The only constant in life is change. And this is what ORIGINAL BUFF® believes as it unveils a new winter season that features new products and materials, as well as new partners and, most importantly of all, a new corporate identity.
New partnership with Primaloft®
BUFF® presented its new partnership with Primaloft®, the leading American barad in innovation of comfort solutions, which has led to the creation of the Thermonet® fabric. This is an extremely fine, lightweight material that is up to four times warmer than microfiber, which keeps in body heat as it wicks away the body’s moisture. This new partnership with the American brand is also reflected in the Lifestyle collection, with the application of Primaloft® Polar Fleece in all the knitted products.
New products and diversification
Within the Professional category for AW1718, what stands out is the creation and development of a new product line called CUT, with the new CUTPROOF tubular which has been especially designed for security forces that need protection against attacks on the neck with objects that cut.
We have also developed new products in the FIRE and COLD lines. The new Firefighter Balaclava was designed in conjunction with the Firefighters’ Unit of Barcelona. And in the COLD line, the new Thermonet® tubular is the star product.
In terms of new products in Sport AW1718, the biggest news is the use of the new Thermonet® fabric in the tubulars, balaclavas and hats, as well as the new classification of merino wool products: Mid Merino Wool, which joins Light Merino Wool (125g/m²) and Heavy Merino Wool (600g/m²). And we have two new licenses for children’s products: Paw Patrol and Blaze and the Monsters Machine.
Two concepts define the BUFF® AW17-18 Lifestyle collection: innovation and exploration. Its accessories incorporate the latest high-tech fabrics, yielding greater comfort and protection than ever, plus they are lightweight and follow the latest trends. But most importantly, BUFF® is pleased to unveil a collection that captures the spirit of individuality.
One of the peak moments at the meeting was the catwalk presenting the Sport, Kids and Lifestyle products. BUFF® consolidated this dynamic, appealing set of products to present its collections through a choreographed catwalk featuring the performance of professional dancers.
Once the new collections were presented, BUFF® conveyed to the distributors the main strategic sales and marketing lines for the AW17-18 season, particularly Trade Marketing and Sports Sponsorship Marketing.
