We present one of the most important new developments for the SS19 season, CoolNet UV+®, a new material created for the most technical summer products in the collection. This innovative fabric was developed by the R&D department from recycled plastic bottles, and it has earned the certification from the prestigious Hohenstein Institute. Thus, we continue our focus on sustainability. This fabric is the outcome of our commitment to the environment, which we carry out through our DO MORE NOW program.
The different products developed with this new material include the CoolNet UV+® tubular, created specifically for outdoor sports under the sun. The CoolNet UV+® fabric comes with the innovative HeiQ technology, which more effectively facilitates the evaporation of sweat, giving users a greater sense of coolness while keeping their skin dry. Plus, the fabric also comes with SPF 50+ protection against ultraviolet rays, which prevents any damage caused by the sun, making it your best bet in the hotter months. It also has an ultra-lightweight, seamless design which stretches in all four directions to enhance the product’s comfort and ability to fit any user.
In addition to the CoolNet UV+® tubular, this fabric is also being used in other products in the brand, including the CoolNet UV+® XL, a larger version than the original to fit all kinds of necks; the CoolNet UV+® Reflective, with reflective details that improve visibility in conditions with low light; and the CoolNet UV+® with Insect Shield, which keeps insects away.
The coolness provided by this fabric and its comfort thanks to its lightness are also capitalized in accessories for the head in the brand’s headbands line; the CoolNet UV+® Headband, in a standard size; the CoolNet UV+® Slim Headband, with a narrower design; and the CoolNet UV+® Multifunctional Headband, which is the same size as the tubular and can cover the whole head and be worn under a helmet.
